Design Shop

Under the supervision of Design Shop Manager, Mark Shumake, the LSU College of Art + Design’s large and comprehensive workshop can be used by all students to complete class projects.

Hours

Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Saturday closed
Sunday 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

Hours subject to change pending holidays and examination schedules.

ID Requirement

Students must complete the Shop orientation and pass the orientation test before using the equipment. Upon successful completion students will receive an ID sticker that allows access to use the facility.

The Design Shop is to be used only for school projects and under proper supervision (the shop manager, shop monitor or class instructor). Students must check in with the shop personnel when entering to work and all guests (anyone not currently enrolled in the class) must check in and abide by all rules and may not work with the equipment.
