Each year, Batture: The LSU School of Architecture Journal, examines issues of history, culture, theory and techonics as they relate to the contemporary architectural practice in the Gulf and Mid-Atlantic States as well as world wide. The overall goal is to use this publication as an identifier and collector of creative contributors to the southern United States landscape: practitioners, academics, theorists, students, etc. The collections will always discuss the South either directly or indirectly, while each volume focuses on a more specific topic.
