Margaret Broussard serves as administrative support to the department chair, faculty, and professional staff in the School of Interior Design. As the administrative coordinator, she assists with undergraduate admissions, manages departmental personnel issues, manages the departmental budget and purchasing, coordinates course scheduling, oversees student workers, and assists the chair with the administrative needs of the department. She also provides public assistance to those outside of the university who are interested in knowing about the LSU School of Interior Design.
Margaret grew up in Vidalia, Louisiana, before moving to Monroe, Louisiana. She is a 1973 graduate of Ouachita Parish High School, Monroe. She attended Northeast Louisiana University (currently University of Louisiana-Monroe) where she played flute in the NLU marching band. She later moved to Baton Rouge and is currently attending LSU. She has two children, Emily (LSU ’12) and Charlie, who attends Catholic High School here in Baton Rouge. She enjoys sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. She and her family are parishioners of St. Aloysius Parish.
