As business manager, Elizabeth Duffy oversees the college’s budget and annual spending. Her responsibilities include the normal day-to-day operations such as processing payroll, employee reimbursements, and supply purchases as well as fiscal budget preparation and monitoring of self-generated, funded units. Elizabeth also functions as the grant coordinator for the college and works closely with faculty to prepare grant budgets and submit proposals through the Office of Sponsored Programs. Throughout the year, the Dean’s Office grants small supply budgets to faculty and students for projects to be displayed on the Atrium Wall of the Design Building. Elizabeth works to approve the proposed budgets and help with purchases for these displays. On top of her daily duties, she tries to always be on hand and available to assist faculty, staff, and students with any questions they may have regarding financial business.
