Julie Aguilar LeFebvre
Director of Development
102 Design Building
College of Art & Design
As the Director of Development, Julie LeFebvre is tasked with identifying, cultivating, and soliciting support from individuals, corporations, and foundations in support of the college as well as the schools of architecture, art, and landscape architecture and the Department of Interior Design. Julie works directly with the dean and the unit directors to identify priorities within each unit, and she meets with alumni and friends to accomplish those goals.
A native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of the Manship School of Mass Communication at LSU, Julie began her career in sales, quickly finding her niche in fundraising. Julie spent much of her career at Tulane University in many capacities, from the annual fund in the athletics department to major gifts at the A.B. Freeman School of Business. Following her time at Tulane, Julie spent three years fundraising and planning gala events and conventions in Washington, D.C. and New Orleans. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, she was relocated to Austin, Texas, where she served as the director of development for Ballet Austin for two and a half years. Missing “home,” Julie and her husband moved back to New Orleans, where she returned to Tulane for almost five years, working again as the director of development for the A.B. Freeman School of Business and then as the director of the annual fund for the Tulane School of Medicine. Julie joined the College of Art & Design in 2012.
