Once you have been admitted to the School of Art, you begin taking foundation studio courses, the basic courses that all art students take. As you move through the program, you choose one of seven studio areas to concentrate in. Most of the concentrations also require a portfolio for admission, generally at the end of your second year. You can find details about the requirements for a degree, the concentration areas and the courses you need to take in the Programs section.

Transfer credit is accepted for degree credit if the completed courses are the equivalent of degree work at the LSU School of Art, as determined by portfolio evaluation and the school director. ]
