You can find LSU School of Art graduates working as artists, museum administrators, teachers, gallery managers, commercial designers for advertising agencies and publishing firms and more; our alumni work all over the world. As you complete your courses in the School of Art, you build a professional portfolio to help you find a job after graduation.

Professors at the school take a personal interest in helping you pursue your career interests. The school has ties with a wide range of galleries, museums, arts organizations and other universities. Faculty members work hard to help students find jobs or pursue additional studies after graduation. LSU also provides career guidance and help through the Career Services department. Call 578-2162 or visit the Career Services website for more information.

You will have an opportunity to build your portfolio, your resume and other job application materials while in the program. The school’s annual Career Day gives you the opportunity to meet and network with firms face to face. Our faculty and alumni have strong networks with local design firms and are here to help you find your niche after graduation.
