Bob Snead, “Laughing, Crying, and Everything Else”

Artist Bob Snead will lecture at the LSU School of Art at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, in the LSU Design Building Auditorium (room 103). The lecture, titled “Laughing, Crying, and Everything Else,” is part of the Alfred C. Jr. Endowed Lecture Series.
The lecture coincides with Snead’s installation, Periphery, at the LSU School of Art Glassell Gallery, October 21 through December 15, 2017.
Snead co-founded Redux Contemporary Art Center in 2002. After receiving his MFA in 2007 from Yale University’s School of Art, he helped form the traveling artist collective Transit Antenna and spend the next two years developing community-based art projects across North America. He lives and works in New Orleans, helping to shape the artist and writer organization Antenna in various capacities, in addition to founding the Platforms Fund and being a founding member of Common Field.
