Serena Romano & Ludovico Geymonat, “Luster on the Lagoon: A Conversation about Medieval Venice”

Art historians Serena Romano and Ludovico Geymonat will present a School of Art lecture titled “Luster on the Lagoon: A Conversation about Medieval Venice” in Dodson Auditorium (room 100) at 5 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018.
Serena Romano is a professor of art history at Laussane University in Laussane, Switzerland. Professor Romano specializes in medieval art, and has published widely.
Ludovico Geymonat is an assistant professor of art history at the LSU School of Art. He teaches medieval art. His research has developed from doctoral studies on Byzantine and Romanesque wall painting to focus on medieval drawings, monumental programs, and the question of how images and ideas circulated in the Middle Ages. His work includes a focus on Italian medieval sculpture, with an emphasis on early Gothic sculpture in San Marco, Venice.
