The Louisiana State University School of Art is hosting its 7th Annual Summer Invitational Art Exhibition: Hot Tamales!, which will run from July 12, 2008 to August 10, 2008 at the beautiful Alfred C. Glassell Jr. Exhibition Gallery in the Shaw Center for the Arts.
A public opening reception will be held on July 12, 2008, from 7-9 pm.
The forty+ participating artists include LSU faculty, alumni and local artists. They have been asked to create art in all media based on the theme of Hot Tamales!. The school is planning a fiesta reception with Mexican food, candy, a pinata, festival prizes, music, etc. The public is invited to vote for their favorite piece.
