SUMMARY:Coastal Sustainability Studio Open House
DESCRIPTION:The LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio is hosting an open house on April 22\, 2015\, 4–5:30 p.m.\nFaculty interested in interdisciplinary coastal research should plan to attend the open house as this annual spring event launches the official call for small project proposals (up to $35\,000) funded by CSS and sets the stage for representatives from a wide range of academic and research interests to meet. \nIn addition to traditional networking opportunities\, faculty interested in accelerating recruitment for a trans-disciplinary research team can participate in Two Slides\, Two Minutes—a speed-dating approach to build a project team! Two Slides\, Two Minutes allows faculty to provide a brief introduction and summary of their research interests and the subject areas and/or skillsets that complement their work. If you would like to participate in Two Slides\, Two Minutes\, please email PowerPoint slides to Mary Bergeron at mberg41@lsu.edu to be added to the CSS open house agenda. \n2015–16 CSS small project proposals are due May 18\, 2015.\nQuestions about the open house or small projects funds? Contact Mary Bergeron at mberg41@lsu.edu or call 225-578-4990. \n\nThe LSU Coastal Sustainability Studio (CSS) is a trans-disciplinary program of the College of Art & Design\, College of Engineering\, and the School of the Coast & Environment. CSS brings together disciplines that normally work separately to respond to critical coastal issues in a comprehensive manner. Visit css.lsu.edu for more information.
