DESCRIPTION:Five artists from Expanded Draught\, an international artist collective\, will present a School of Art Lecture titled “XII” at the LSU College of Art & Design at 5 p.m. on Thursday\, September 6\, 2018\, in the LSU Design Building Auditorium (room 103).\nExpanded Draught is an international artist collective that was founded in Galway\, Ireland in 2006. From Galway it has expanded across Ireland and the United States. The group has exhibited in both the U.S. and Ireland with the aim to continue their expansion and to show their work further afield. \nThe collective currently has 11 members. Each member offers a wide range of knowledge in terms of material fabrication and perspectives on concept. Expanded Draught aspires to create a platform for diverse artists to showcase their work and form relationships with artists from various countries around the world. \nExpanded Draught is committed to the support of artists in the creation of high quality dynamic artworks. The focus of their work is in creating large-scale collaborative projects that are interactive and inclusive\, using both unconventional and conventional spaces. The group promotes collaboration and the sharing of information\, skills and knowledge through exhibitions\, workshops\, and lectures.
