SUMMARY:LSU Hilltop Arboretum Plantfest! TEASER featuring Tammany Baumgarten
DESCRIPTION:This year’s PlantFest! Teaser program will feature Tammany Baumgarten\, owner of BaumGardens Landscape and Design\, based out of New Orleans. A passionate advocate for sustainability\, Tammany will share her philosophy on incorporating native plants into the landscape and introduce us to her “Top 25 Native Plants that Promote a Healthy Ecosystem in the Backyard and Beyond.” \nThe program will take place Sunday\, October 15\, 2023\, from 2pm to 3:30pm in the Beverly Brown Coates Auditorium\, 11855 Highland Road between Bluebonnet and Siegen Lane.  \nAll plants featured in the Teaser will be for sale during PlantFest at the members-only sale on Oct 25 and the public sale on Oct. 28 and 29.   \nRegistration is free for members of the Friends of Hilltop Arboretum at the Azalea ($50) level and above; $25 for the general public and members below the Azalea level; and $20 for students.  \nNot a member? Please join now at www.lsu.edu/hilltop/support. \nTammany Baumgarten is a licensed Landscape Horticulturalist and owner of BaumGardens\, a landscaping company serving the New Orleans area since 1997. Tammany has a keen interest in creating habitat and is an intense advocate of native gardens but applies these principles with a practicality sited to the needs of each client and space.
