SUMMARY:Hannah and Blake Sanders: Stick/Stuck 
DESCRIPTION:Glassell Gallery\nShaw Center for the Arts\n100 Lafayette Street\nTuesday–Sunday 12–5 p.m. \nUsing traditional craft media and printmaking\, Hannah and Blake Sanders explore how conventional notions of family\, domesticity\, and success affect our behavior as consumers and planetary neighbors. Stick/Stuck alludes to the joys and challenges of raising a family in a present dominated by human consumption and pollution. Pairing imagery of Mississippi River Basin\, looming threats of hurricanes\, and coastal erosion alongside images of their toddler children\, Hannah and Blake Sanders examine an uncertain ecological future. Their work evokes comfort and discomfort\, hope in hopelessness while also serving as both an indictment and celebration of their own domestic bliss. \nThis exhibition is part of LSU School of Art‘s Lineages exhibition series featuring School of Art Alumni.
