Jerry Lockaby, an accomplished professional in the fields of marketing, advertising, and graphic design, is a proud alumnus of the LSU College of Art & Design. He obtained both his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts from LSU School of Art and is currently a Doctor of Design (DDes) Candidate in Cultural Preservation.
Over the course of two decades working in the graphic design field, Jerry has built a diverse portfolio, including in areas such as corporate identity, branding, business development, public relations, and online marketing. He is proficient in production management, graphic design processes, art direction, and account management, and is especially skilled at translating client visions into successful marketing and advertising campaigns. His passion for creating engaging consumer experiences, along with his entrepreneurial skills, have positioned him well as a key liaison between internal creative teams and client needs.
Since 2019, Jerry has been serving as an instructor at his alma mater LSU, while also heading the social media group/function/discipline/department. In his academic role, he is developing new courses for the Bachelor of Art program, preparing students for real-world art practice, leading the school’s digital media team, managing digital assets, and overseeing the school’s social media channels.
Jerry’s accomplishments include multiple awards such as the IABC Bronze Quill, PRSA del Oro, and several local and district Addys. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Jerry is known for bringing a unique perspective and diverse skills to the field of art and design.
