Cecelia Moseley is an instructor teaching 3D Design and Introduction to Sculpture, as well as serving as gallery assistant at the LSU School of Art. A native of Meridian, Mississippi, Moseley earned her BFA from the University of Mississippi in 2020 and completed her MFA at Louisiana State University in 2024. During her graduate studies at LSU, she was awarded the Dean’s Medal and curated the exhibition “Why LSU: From An Artist’s Point of View,” which showcased the creative talents of graduate and undergraduate students across two gallery locations on campus. Moseley also played a key role in organizing and planning various events and workshops for the LSU Sculpture Society, contributing to the vibrant artistic community.
Over the past three years, she has captivated audiences across the United States with her public installations and permanent sculptures in locations such as Meridian, MS, Oxford, MS, Cleveland, MS, Rosemary Beach, FL, Macon, GA, and Decatur, IN. Her artistic practice spans a diverse range of materials, including metals, acrylic, paper, ceramics, styrofoam, light, and vinyl, with her work deeply exploring the perception and cognition involved in navigating learning challenges.
