Will Reinhardt is the living collection manager of Louisiana State University’s Hilltop Arboretum, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and professional in residence at the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture. He holds the Odenwald Professorship. A focus on native plant function and design allows outdoor classroom activities as well as initiatives like pollinator plantings and meadow maintenance to test understandings of ecosystem services in prairies and wetlands. A background in improving sustainability initiatives and using smart water management led to his Masters in Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University, where he also worked for LSU’s Coastal Sustainability Studio and collaborated with designers, engineers and scientists in order to develop strategies for addressing coastal sustainability. He also holds a degree in geology from Princeton University.
