To pursue teaching design, he moved to California where he received a Master of Fine Arts in Wood and Furniture Design at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco in 1999. Currently in his academic work he is interested in the space between an object and the idea that conceives it, and the incubation of that idea at the moment of its inception.
Jeffrey currently lives in Hammond where he concentrates on his academic interests while continuing to make furniture and conceptual sculpture for national exhibitions and competitions.
