Interior Design Senior Named to Tiger Twelve

Christine M. Cangelosi, a graduating senior in the School of Interior Design, has been named to the LSU Dean of Student’s Tiger Twelve, which recognizes the twelve outstanding seniors who best demonstrate LSU’s commitment to community while achieving at least a 2.5 grade‐point‐average as current, full‐time students.

Cangelosi, a native of Metairie, is planning to attend graduate school in the fall to pursue a Master’s of architecture. As an undergraduate, she has been active in numerous students organizations, including the Student Government Association, LSU Ambassadors and the Interior Design Student Organization.

“We’re very proud of Christine,” says T.L. Ritchie, chairperson of the interior design department. “She has been active in so many facets of the University and has been a delight to teach. We will miss her but wish her very well in her future endeavors.”

LSU started the Tiger Twelve in 2002 to honor graduating students who proudly embody the seven principles behind the University’s commitment to community. Those principles include:

  • Respecting the dignity of all persons and accepting individual differences
  • Respecting the environment and the rights and property of others and the university
  • Contributing positively to the life of the campus and surrounding community

Cangelosi is the first student from the School of Interior Design to be named to the Tiger Twelve since the awards program was initiated.
