Landscape Architecture
As a student at LSU, James had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in Tokyo, Japan working for Keikan-Sekkei under the direction of Tooru Miyakoda. Upon completing his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2001, James moved to Tucson, Arizona to begin his professional career with McGann and Associates Landscape Architects. Over the following 15 years, he worked across the desert Southwest on a variety of project types including transportation, parks and recreation, green infrastructure, and sustainable storm water management.
In 2016, James returned to his native Louisiana and now works as a landscape architect for Torre Design Consortium in New Orleans, with a focus on zoo master planning and exhibit design.
