Claire Witter Hempel (BLA 2002) is the principal in charge of the Austin office of Design Workshop. She joined the firm in 2011 with a Master’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin. She oversees a wide range of projects including community master plans, urban design efforts, and streetscapes. Claire says she owes the direction of her career path to the firm roots of valuable education that she received at LSU.
