In May 2014, Warren Kron (BLA 1997) was appointed to the GIS manager position at the Baton Rouge City-Parish Department of Information Services. He was previously the GIS coordinator at the City-Parish Planning Commission, where he worked for 16 years. He now works more closely with all city-parish departments to further implement the eBRGIS Program. Warren also recently became a certified GIS Professional (GISP) by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI), and he serves on the Louisiana GIS Council. He participated in a recorded speaker panel discussion at the 2014 HxGN Live conference.
