Architecture

Billy May, AIA, earned his license to practice architecture in Louisiana in July 2014. A designer with the firm since 2007, May is a senior associate at Tipton Associates, a professional architectural, interiors, and planning firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. William has served as project architect and studio leader on numerous projects throughout the region including University of Virginia, University of Mississippi, and Baylor University. As senior associate of the firm, William continues his current project responsibilities while also taking on increased leadership roles, such as participating in partner meetings and firm leadership discussions.

May earned his Bachelor of Architecture from LSU in 2006 and has worked and studied abroad in Sweden and Austria. He is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional in building design and construction. His current projects include Baylor University’s Penland Hall and Mississippi State University’s Fresh Food Company. Tipton Associates is a 30-member interdisciplinary team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and urban/campus planners, working in 30 states out of its Baton Rouge office.
