“Conversations with History,” David Emitt Adams Lecture

Photographer David Emitt Adams will give a lecture titled “Conversations with History” to the College of Art & Design on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in 103 Julian T. White Auditorium.
David Emitt Adams is a photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona. He obtained his Bachelor of Fine Art from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Fine Art from Arizona State University. David’s photographs have been exhibited nationally and internationally including museum exhibitions at Phoenix Art Museum, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Southern Utah Museum of Art, Tucson Museum Art, the Chrysler Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and the Portland Art Museum. He is a recipient of the Arizona Commission on the Arts Research and Development Grant, the Clarence John Laughlin Award, and the Puffin Foundation Grant. His work is in the permanent collection of The Center for Creative Photography, The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Museum of Photographic Arts San Diego, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, The George Eastman Museum, and The Worcester Art Museum as well as numerous private collections. His work is represented by the Etherton Gallery in Tucson AZ and PhotoEye Gallery in Santa Fe, NM.
