Into the Album: Materializing Memories is an exhibition of photographs, videos, and mixed media installations inspired by family albums, personal recollections, and recorded conversations with family members. This body of work addresses inconsistencies between what is seen in the albums and lived experience, includes perspectives otherwise left out, and gives voice to things unspoken in my family. From perusing the album pages to leaning into the handmade, I process the work through my own body, seeking to understand and acknowledge the realities of domestic life and memory.
