Jennifer Allen, Ceramics Area Student Association Sponsored Lecture

Ceramic artist Jennifer Allen will lecture at the LSU College of Art & Design at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, in the LSU Design Building Auditorium (room 103).
Allen works with porcelain and is inspired by forms associated with the holiday table. She received her BFA from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and her MFA from Indiana University, Bloomington. She was a studio resident at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s School for American Crafts (2002–03) and a resident artist at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana.
Allen currently lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, where she teaches ceramics part-time at West Virginia University while maintaining a home studio. In addition, she is a founding member of the clay collective, Objective Clay, whose mission is to share ideas and new work.
