LSU Hilltop Arboretum Discover Nature Series
April 21 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
In celebration of Earth Day, “Discover Nature: Recycling & Repurposing in Baton Rouge” with Glass Half Full, Republic Services, Keep Tiger Town Beautiful, and the Capital Area Corporate Recycling Council, will be held Tuesday, April 21 from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at the Hilltop Arboretum in the Beverly Brown Coates Auditorium.
This community-focused program will bring together representatives from Glass Half
Full, Republic Services, Keep Tiger Town Beautiful, and the Capital Area Corporate
Recycling Council to discuss local recycling systems, innovative material repurposing
efforts, and practical ways residents can reduce waste in their daily lives.
Panelists will address common misconceptions about recycling, explain how materials
are collected and processed in the Baton Rouge area, and highlight specialty recycling
and litter prevention initiatives available throughout the Capital Region.
Presented as part of Hilltop’s Discover Nature educational series — developed in
partnership with the Louisiana Master Naturalists of Greater Baton Rouge — the
program connects the community with local experts engaged in environmental
stewardship and conservation across Louisiana.
