MFA Thesis Exhibition: Chelsea Ramirez

Graduate student Chelsea Ramirez’s thesis exhibition, “A Charming Re(a)d,” will run from April 20 to April 24, 2015 in the Foster Gallery. Chelsea’s solo exhibition reveals residual memories of the home using a multimedia collage of image and language. Ramirez, a painting and drawing student at the LSU School of Art, will graduate in May.
A closing reception will be held on Friday, April 24 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Foster Gallery. All events are free of charge and open to the public.
About the Artist:
Chelsea Ramirez, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, received her B.F.A from the University of Central Florida, Orlando and is an instructor of Record and M.F.A. candidate at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. Recent exhibitions include Drawing Expanse in San Diego, CA, Red Clay Survey, at the Huntsville Museum of Art in Alabama, and Word Stuff, at the Firehouse Gallery, Baton Rouge, LA.
