Timothy Barrett, professor, University of Iowa Center for the Book, will present a School of Art lecture titled “Why Paper?” at the LSU College of Art & Design at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, in the LSU Design Building Auditorium (room 103).

Paper has recently drawn attention from visual artists, book artists, scholars, conservators of works on paper and other specialists.  Why the enhanced attention to paper, and why now? Join paper specialist Tim Barrett, director of the University of Iowa Center for the Book, as he explores these and related questions from a variety of perspectives. Paper specimens will be on display and questions from the audience will be warmly encouraged.
