Presented by the LSU College of Art & Design and the LSU Olinde Career Center, Art & Design Networking Day is an open networking session for students and employers. Art & Design Career Networking Day will take place on Friday, October 11, 2019, from 8:30–11:30 a.m., in the LSU Student Union – Royal Cotillion Ballroom.

Art + Design Career Networking Day connects students with employers recruiting for full-time, part-time, and internship positions in the art and design fields.

*A lunch portion exclusively for recruiters will be hosted by Dean Alkis Tsolakis from noon to 1 p.m. All participating recruiters are invited and encouraged to attend the lunch program.

Information for Students

This event is an open networking session where students may:

• Meet with employers about what they expect from a future employee.
• Gather tips on job searching.
• Learn more about career possibilities and potential employers.

Note: Some employers may elect to stay from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. to conduct interviews with candidates in the LSU Olinde Career Center Recruitment Center. Employers will arrange their schedules directly with candidates DURING the networking portion of the event.

What to Expect

Students should plan to spend the networking portion of the day collecting information and making introductions. While students are encouraged to bring portfolios to the networking event and should be prepared to show their work if asked, please be courteous and respectful of the employers’ time and the number of students who wish to make connections.

What to Wear

Please come dressed in business casual or business professional attire.

Information for Employers

The open networking session will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon exclusively for employers/recruiters hosted by Dean Alkis Tsolakis from noon to 1 p.m. Employers may elect to stay from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m. to conduct interviews with candidates. Employers are responsible for arranging their interview schedules directly with candidates during the event.

Fee Structure

$50 registration fee includes entry for up to two representatives, one table, two lunches, and two parking passes.

Additional representatives $30 each.

Additional table (browsing period only) $50 each.

Event Sponsorship

Become an event sponsor for $250. You can sign up to be an event sponsor during the registration process.

Benefits of sponsorship include:

• Prime placement at the event
• Name and/or logo included on the event web pages for students and employers, in Handshake and in e-newsletters sent out to students

Employer Luncheon

Participating employers are invited to attend a luncheon hosted by Dean Alkis Tsolakis from noon to 1 p.m. All participating recruiters are invited and encouraged to attend the lunch.
