Landscape Architecture
Max Conrad is a professor emeritus of the LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture, where he taught landscape architecture for 60 years before retiring from teaching in 2026.
Throughout his career, professor Conrad arranged student internships including abroad in Japan, Thailand, and China and he lead extensive field trips to Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, India, China, and more. He received his BS in landscape architecture from LSU and his Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard. He was awarded the Charles Eliot Traveling Fellowship, making possible a round-the-world study tour. He was the recipient of the 2013 Jot D. Carpenter Teaching Medal awarded by the American Society of Landscape Architects.
