Scott Andresen is an associate professor in foundations at the LSU School of Art. He has a significant record of shows and awards such as the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant, Jacob Javits Fellowship, and the New York Foundation of the Arts Fellowship. Andresen leads the foundations area for the School of Art and the graduate teaching seminar. His work is a balance of two-dimensional and three-dimensional design that utilizes historic, handmade forms of creation, such as metalworking and quilting, along with more contemporary technologies including AutoCAD and Rhino. He earned his BFA in sculpture at Hunter College and his MFA in painting and printmaking at Yale University.
