Kristen Kelsch received her BA in history of art and architecture and classical civilization from Boston University and her Master of Architecture from Louisiana State University. She joined the LSU faculty in 2010. Kelsch teaches beginning design studios and an introductory representation course. In addition to teaching, she serves as the school’s undergraduate coordinator and the faculty coordinator for the LSU Architecture Camp, a residential summer camp for high school students.
Her research focuses on design pedagogy and beginning design education. She is the Operations Director of Ripple Effect, a K-12 education nonprofit that provides interdisciplinary, standards-aligned environmental science instruction about real communities impacted by climate change.
Kelsch is a licensed architect in the state of Louisiana and serves as the school’s Architect Licensing Advisor.
