Katharina Beliveau Wang is an adjunct instructor at the LSU School of Interior Design with five years of prior experience working in the field of commercial architecture and interior design. She earned her Bachelor of Interior Design at Louisiana State University in 2017. She is NCIDQ Certified and is a registered interior designer in the state of Louisiana. Currently, she is completing a Master of Architecture in LSU’s School of Architecture.
Having grown up in Europe and later in New Hampshire, Katharina was exposed to diverse design styles and teaching methods from a young age. She uses her lived experiences to view design problems through a different lens focusing on generating feasible solutions.
In her professional career as an interior designer, she is involved in all stages of the design process, from schematic design, to creating construction documents, 3D modeling, rendering, finish selections, FFE specifications, preparing presentations, site visits and punch list. She actively communicates with consultants and enjoys engaging with clients to ensure maximum satisfaction with the design solution. She has worked on a variety of project types ranging from elementary schools to international hospitality projects.
Katharina has discovered a true passion for teaching, focusing on making sure her students understand the ‘why’ behind each project. She enjoys connecting with students to give them perspective on real world challenges and helping each young designer grow to reach their fullest potential.
