LSU Student Chapter of ASLA holds first Park(ing) Day
Park(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public parks. LSU Student Chapter of ASLA held its first Park(ing) Day event this week in order to highlight the importance of green space and rethink the way streets are used as part of campus infrastructure. The students took over parking spaces in front of the College of Art and Design handing out plants and showcasing how small scale design interventions can change our perception of space.
