Israt Jahan is a Doctor of Design candidate in the College of Art & Design at Louisiana State University, focusing in the intersection of architecture, climate change adaptation, and cultural heritage preservation. Her research emphasizes on community participation coastal resilience, engagement, and climate policy integration for vulnerable coastal and urban areas.
Israt holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Science in Disaster Management. Her prior research includes biomimicry in urban infrastructure, energy-efficient building design, and vertical housing systems for densely populated cities.
