April is National Landscape Architecture Month
The month of April—National Landscape Architecture Month (NLAM)—is a fitting time to celebrate and promote one of the fastest growing professions in the world.
Throughout the month, the LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture will be highlighting the careers our alumni, who work all over the world in a range of fields. From community parks to residential design, urban planning to transportation corridors, landscape architects have the keen ability to see what is not already there and are an essential part of our society.
The Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture has a vast alumni network with professionals working as principles and designers at private firms, national parks, and universities across the U.S. and abroad. Alumni help our students through internships and job placement, donations, and professional contributions. Our graduates are our greatest advocates and important assets to the success of the program at LSU. Their success and placement at top firms around the world are one of the reasons why our BLA and MLA programs are consistently ranked top in the nation.
In celebration of National Landscape Architecture Month, the LSU College of Art & Design and Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture will share an alumni profile on Facebook and Twitter every day, throughout the month of April. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter—hashtags #lsulandscape and #nlam—and share these posts with your own friends and followers. Help us highlight the remarkable careers of landscape architects and celebrate the profession while encouraging the next generation of designers to pursue careers in this field.
