Afton Villa: A Conversation with Genevieve Trimble and Lake Douglas

April 20, 2016 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Afton Villa The Birth and Rebirth of a Nineteenth Century Louisiana Garden by Genevieve Munson

Join LSU Press on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 4:30 p.m. (talk to begin at 5:15 p.m.) at LSU Hill Memorial Library for a conversation with the editor, Dr. Lake Douglas, associate dean of the LSU College of Art & Design and associate professor of the LSU Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture, and the author, Genevieve Munson Trimble. Books will be available for signing and purchase.

Trimble’s book, Afton villa: The Birth and Rebirth of a Nineteenth-Century Louisiana Garden, was released this spring. The book documents the restoration and regeneration of the property in St. Francisville that Trimble and her husband, Morrell “Bud” Trimble, purchased in 1972. This 94-year-old LSU journalism graduate has much to tell!
