Tom Leslie Lecture

Tom Leslie, Iowa State University Architecture Professor, will present a lecture at the LSU College of Art & Design at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020, in the LSU Design Building Auditorium (room 103).
Thomas Leslie, professor of architecture at Iowa State University and internationally renowned expert on architectural history and practice, is Iowa State’s Morrill Professor in Architecture, Pickard Chilton Professor in Architecture and director of graduate education for the College of Design’s architecture department.
He is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects. Architects who have made significant contributions to the profession and society and who exemplify architectural excellence can become a member of the AIA College of Fellows. Only 3 percent of AIA members have earned this distinction. Leslie received this recognition for his research and education – particularly on Chicago skyscrapers, Italian architect Pier Luigi Nervi, American architect Louis Kahn and post-war design for aviation.
