Graphic Design Alumna Katie Burk a Judge for WRKF’s Tote Bag Design Competition
LSU School of Art alumna Katie Burk is one of the three judges who will select the winning design for WRKF’s next tote bag. Local listeners will hear Katie promoting the contest herself on WRKF 89.3 FM, Baton Rouge’s public radio station and NPR affiliate.
Katie received her BFA in graphic design from LSU in 2008. Currently, she is the graphic designer on the live events team at The Atlantic in Washington, DC, where she works on branding for local, national, and international events. From 2008 to early 2014, she was a graphic designer in the Marketing, Branding, and Communications Department at NPR headquarters, where she contributed to marketing campaigns including “I ‘Heart’ NPR.” View Katie’s work at mizburk.com.
LSU College of Art & Design alumni are encouraged to submit designs for WRKF’s next tote bag at wrkf.org/design-wrkfs-next-tote-bag now through November 30, 2014.
