Julie Aguilar LeFebvre Hired as Director of Development

Julie Aguilar LeFebvre has been hired as director of development for the College of Art & Design beginning November 5, 2012. She will replace Michael D. Robinson, who is retiring.

LeFebvre, a graduate of LSU (BA, Mass Comm 1998), joins the college after more than two and half years as director of the annual fund at the Tulane School of Medicine, where in the fiscal year 2011, she increased annual fund giving 10 percent.

Prior to her work with the School of Medicine, LeFebvre was a development officer for two years in Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business where she managed a portfolio of 125 individuals, identified numerous funding opportunities, and led special fundraising initiatives including a public campaign to fund professorships and competitions.

LeFebvre says she is excited about the new position and looking forward to being able to “walk into a fellow alumni’s office and talk about the college’s priorities and how they can play a role in our success.” She’s also excited about working with the college’s recently hired dean, Alkis Tsolakis. “As a new dean, I am certain he will come in with new and exciting funding priorities. With that, I will be able to go out and communicate his vision and bring in funding to help his vision become reality for the college.”

LeFebvre’s other experience includes fundraising for the Tulane Athletics Department and Ballet Austin.

Robinson leaves after 11 years as director of development for the college. He will remain through the end of November to assist with LeFebvre’s transition.
