While at LSU, she taught a wide range of courses including Introduction to Fine ArtsEarly Christian and Byzantine ArtRomanesque ArtGothic Art as well as working with students on various independent studies. She has been a lecturer for LSU Honors College seminars, a recipient of the 2007 TAF Teaching Award, and she curated LSU Treasures, published by LSU Press in 2010.Dr. Mauck,  professor emeritus of art history at Louisiana State University, served on the faculty at LSU since 1967 and was associate dean from 1999-2009.

The first art history faculty member to teach a course using all digital media, Dr. Mauck was instrumental in beginning the slide digitization project in the College of Art + Design’s Visual Resource Library and encouraged art history faculty to use digital media for teaching.

Dr. Mauck also has taught at Yale Divinity School, the University of Notre Dame and the Chicago Theological Union as a visiting professor. Dr. Mauck is widely recognized for her contributions to religious art and architecture. She has written books, articles and dictionary entries on the subject. She has participated as a major speaker at many national and international conferences. Since 1987 Dr. Mauck has served as a liturgical consultant for innumerable church building and renovation projects in the United States. She earned her Ph.D. and M.A. degrees from Tulane University and a M.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

A Fulbright Grant recipient who studied in The Netherlands at University of Utrecht, she was also an advisor for the Fulbright Scholars Evaluation Committee.

The Award will be presented in July at the 2013 National AIA Convention, Denver, CO.
