Art & Design Studies is one of the areas of directed coursework within the LSU College of Art & Design’s Doctor of Design in Cultural Preservation.
Inquiry and exploration of design concepts and materials at new levels of scale and complexity through usage of digital technology, fabrication, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for analysis, new understanding, and preservation of cultural artifacts and the built environment. This area of study takes advantage of the College of Art & Design’s digital Fabrication Lab and current collaborative research in AI with LSU’s advanced programs in engineering and computer science.
