Material Culture Studies is one of the areas of specialization within the LSU College of Art & Design’s Doctor of Design in Cultural Preservation.
Studies in the production and history of art, architecture, cultural landscapes, interiors, and representation, with explorations through multiple lenses such as environmental, economic and social conditions, geographical locations, ecological systems, and multi-cultural considerations. This specialization builds on College of Art & Design’s undergraduate and master’s level courses in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and studio arts, as well as programs and research across the university.
