The School of Interior Design at Louisiana State University envisions expanding the horizons of its national reputation for excellence in interior design education, emphasizing its educational, professional, and social achievements and responsibilities to the university, the community, and the broader professional arena. The program promotes engagement through creative inquiry and discovery relevant to research, integrity of place, and progressive design practice, directing its graduates to address and respond to global design issues as future leaders.


The LSU School of Interior Design provides academic leadership to the profession with graduates empowered for competitive advantage by means of design knowledge and skills developed through a broad-based educational foundation for creative problem solving, sensitivity to human behavior in the built environment, and commitment to the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
